Plum Borough ⎯ Pat Toomey, candidate for the U.S. Senate, will headline the “TEA Party in Boyce Park” rally on Wednesday, September 9 at the Boyce Park Ski Lodge in an outdoor picnic setting. Glen Meakem will speak and emcee the event and State Rep Daryl Metcalfe, Kim Stolfer from FOAC, and Dr. Hans Lessman will also speak at this event. The program is scheduled to take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The purpose of this rally is to protest the following bills being considered by Congress: Health Care Reform, Cap and Trade, and Card Check, as well as excessive government spending and increased taxation.

This affair is being sponsored by the local Republican committees of Churchill, Monroeville, Murrysville, Oakmont, Penn Hills, Plum, White Oak, and Wilkins to inform and rally the citizens from the east suburbs.

Admission to the TEA Party is free.

Rally signs are welcome and a prize will be given out to the most creative and inspiring sign.

Voter registration forms, absentee ballot applications, and issue-related information will also be available at this event.
